About us

Anita Caldwell, creator of the ACWeaver brand, and Valerie De Porto, creator of the Omadoodles brand met at the local guild in Kitchener-Waterloo and became fast friends. Together, we established the 2Shuttles online store to offer our unique, handwoven creations for purchase.

Each original piece is handwoven using natural fibers like cotton, silk, linen, or wool. We select tools based on the project's structure, techniques, loom, and fibers. Val experiments with hand-dyeing yarns, while Anita explores adapting floor loom structures to the drawloom and enjoys working with boucle cotton and felting handwoven wool fabric. We draw inspiration from weaving literature and design theories like Fibonacci Series and the Golden Ratio. Years of experience allow us to continually explore and create unique, evolving pieces.
